We believe a spirit of community is found through volunteering and supporting charity organizations. Below are some of the not-for-profit activities that Juncture Media has helped fund and execute.
ASAP! Presents: The Celebration of Young Game Designers
Through Andrew Linde’s volunteer board member position with the After School Arts Program, Juncture Media was proud to design, sponsor and execute the Celebration of Young Game Designers. Students from grades 5 – 12 from across the country were invited to submit their very own game ideas for consideration. Weekly informational videos were created and released so students could familiarize themselves with common game design and development concepts.
Two students were chosen through a blind judging process and then their games were created via a special game jam weekend. A team of 11 developers worked under the direction of the selected students to produce the game ideas and release them to the world.
IMS Presents - “Makers Play”
Juncture Media assisted in planning the event and executing the livestream technology which made the broadcast possible. $3,000 was raised for Child’s Play Charity via the event’s various programs including panels, game demos, live multiplayer competition and of course, mutton chop shaving when the fundraising goal was met!
Makers Play is a non-profit hybrid virtual indie game and makerspace showcase born of passionate creators looking to interactively unite content with enthusiasts. Indie games, alt control projects, maker workshops, Q&A, and more were presented via a 3-day livestream event on Twitch. Over 50 indie games were featured in Makers Play and participated for no cost to them.
ASAP! Presents: The Celebration of Young Photographers
Juncture Media was honored to plan, execute and host the 10th annual Celebration of Young Photographers livestream event. ASAP!’s annual Celebration of Young Photographers provides students in grades 6-12 the opportunity to participate in a large scale professional art exhibition and juried show. A panel of professional photographers selects 60 photos to be included in a unique exhibition. The top four photographers are recognized for their outstanding work and receive the Dylan’s Wings Photography Award and a special prize.
